This course will teach you all you need to know about blood cell morphology. We will navigate through all the main morphological features of immature and mature blood cells. There will also be a focus on the role of these vital cells in the normal state and give you the skills to correlate morphological characteristics with clinical features. Finally and building on the tools provided, we will guide how the morphological features can be used in formulating a range of diagnoses.

In this course, we will teach you all you need to know about the key principles central to the laboratory diagnosis of human malaria. We will provide an in-depth review of the epidemiology, pathology and clinical features of malarial disease. Building on this foundation, you will move onto the main laboratory tests used, finishing the course with a detailed review of blood film morphology.
